Security is a top priority at Feo. We offer multiple layers of protection to ensure the safety of your account and funds. By enabling the right security settings and following best practices, you can significantly reduce the risk of unauthorized access.
Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)
Feo requires users to enable at least two OTP methods to perform critical actions such as deposits and withdrawals. These authentication methods add an extra layer of security beyond just your password.
Enable various MFA settings
Navigate to the Dashboard and click Security Tab. You can configure various 2FA settings using the options available.
1. Mobile OTP (SMS)
- You will receive a one-time password (OTP) via SMS when logging in, making transactions, or performing sensitive account changes.
- Ensure your mobile number is always up to date for seamless authentication.
2. Authenticator App OTP (Recommended)
- Feo supports authentication apps like Google Authenticator, Authy, and similar applications.
- These apps generate time-based OTPs (TOTP) that refresh every 30 seconds.
- Authenticator apps are more secure than SMS OTPs, as they are immune to SIM swap attacks.
3. Email OTP
- An OTP will be sent to your registered email address for account logins and transactions.
- Ensure your email account is secured with a strong password and MFA.
Additional Security Measures by Feo
Beyond OTP-based authentication, Feo Exchange implements industry-leading security measures to protect user accounts and data.
Encryption and Secure Communication
- SSL Encryption: Feo uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption to protect data transmitted between users and the platform.
- Encryption at Rest: All sensitive user data is stored using strong encryption techniques to prevent unauthorized access.
Bot and Fraud Prevention
- CAPTCHA Protection: Feo uses CAPTCHA verification during login and key actions to prevent automated attacks.
- Withdrawal Whitelisting: Users can enable withdrawal whitelists, allowing withdrawals only to pre-approved addresses.
- Withdrawal Delays on Sensitive Profile Change: To mitigate risks, Feo may temporarily restrict withdrawals when a password is changed or other sensitive settings are updated.
Best Practices for Users
To further enhance your account security, follow these best practices:
- Use a Strong Password: Combine uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters.
- Enable min Two MFA options: This is mandatory for performing financial transactions.
- Beware of Phishing Attempts: Always verify emails and avoid clicking on suspicious links.
- Secure Your Email Account: Since email OTPs are part of security verification, ensure your email account is protected with MFA.
By enabling multi-factor authentication and leveraging Feo’s built-in security features, you can greatly enhance the protection of your Feo Exchange account. Stay vigilant, follow security best practices, and regularly update your account settings to keep your assets safe.
