How to Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) on Feo?
Updated On 2025-03-26

Security is a top priority at Feo, and enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is an essential step to protect your account from unauthorized access. Feo offers three types of 2FA options:

  • Email OTP (One-Time Password)
  • SMS OTP
  • TOTP (Time-based One-Time Password) via authenticator apps

By default, one OTP method is enabled based on your sign-up method. If you signed up using an email address, Email OTP is enabled. If you signed up using a mobile number, SMS OTP is enabled. To enhance security, users must enable at least one additional OTP method to access sensitive features like withdrawals. However, at any given time, a maximum of two OTP methods can be enabled.

All 2FA settings are available under the Security tab inside your Dashboard.

Steps to Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Step 1: Access the Security Settings

  1. After logging in, go to the Dashboard from the profile dropdown menu on top.
  2. Click on the Security tab.

Step 2: Select Your Preferred 2FA Method

You can enable an additional OTP method under Two-Factor Authentication Settings:

Enabling Email OTP

  • If not already enabled, click on Enable Email OTP.
  • You will be prompted to first verify existing OTP via SMS or TOTP.
  • A verification code will be sent to your registered email.
  • Enter the code and confirm to activate.

Enabling SMS OTP

  • Click on Enable SMS OTP.
  • You will be prompted to verify existing OTP first via Email or TOTP.
  • Enter your mobile number and verify it with the OTP sent via SMS.
  • Once verified, SMS OTP will be activated.

Enabling TOTP via Authenticator Apps

  • Click on Enable TOTP.
  • A QR code will be displayed.
  • Open an authenticator app like Google Authenticator or Authy and scan the QR code.
  • Enter the generated code from the app to verify.
  • Once verified, you will be prompted to verify existing OTPs via SMS/Email, and the TOTP will be enabled.

Managing Your 2FA Settings

  • To Disable a 2FA Method: Navigate to Security Settings, locate the enabled method, and select Disable. A confirmation OTP will be required.
  • To Change Your 2FA Method: Disable an existing method before enabling a new one (ensuring at least one method remains active).
  • If You Lose Access to 2FA: Contact Feo Support for account recovery assistance. Verification may be required for security purposes.
